For the new Rockefeller Center location, just across the street from Radio City Music Hall, Olivares takes inspiration from the store’s historic surroundings and uses natural Indiana limestone to pay tribute to one of New York City’s most cultural landmarks. On a nod to the iconic signs of Radio City Music Hall, designed by Edward Durell Stone and Donald Deskey, the store’s interior is painted with an aluminum-based paint and features a large neon Camper logo.

The design inspiration came from shoe stores of the past; boxes stacked tall and rolling ladders roaming the aisles. The design honors this history and tradition with a focus on product and packaging. The challenge in this concept was combining stock plus the display of 40+ footwear styles, ample room for seating, and the capacity for small leather goods and clothing not to feel displaced within the broader display language.

The design of the Interiors by Koichi Takada Architects in the National Museum of Qatar is a Narrative of the Qatari history. The designs are an embodiment of the Qatari history, the beginnings of the trade, nomadic lifestyle and beautiful natural environment. Through many conversations with the local Qatari people, the designs evolved to translate a story into visual design and memorable experience.
‘Blue Mist’ is the design of a beauty salon in Beijing, that draws visual and formal influences from water and the seaside, resulting in a cool and calming space. The interior is characterized by gently curved walls that are finished with a white-blue gradation that recalls ocean mist and waves.
“Miligrão was a project where we tried to reinterpret the traditional bulk warehouses. Through a graphic and architectural identity, we have developed a contemporary vision of aesthetics and typical market experience, focused mainly on the direct relationship between customer and supplier, customer and product.
Natural materials, almost rustic, communicate the core values of the brand in a very direct way, glorifying their products and the casual nature of the trade, bringing an approximation of nature with the individual.
This project is located at the crossroads of the busy street in Xiyuan, Xuzhou. Xiyuan is an old area with a dense population and busy atmosphere, however, there are few public spaces in the surrounding area.Although the starting point of this project is the sales office, it is intended to provide a free and open space for the surrounding residents, especially children and families.
