The Garden Above Store / Pistache Ganache

June 20, 2019 Andreas Luco 0

Located in São Paulo, the first permanent ê. flagship store was designed by the Brazilian duo Pistache Ganache. The shop was drawn to create a retail interior that architecturally reflects the young and exquisite spirit of the brand. The main concept, an abandoned pool taken by nature, came from the desire to extend the mall’s garden towards a large window facing the city from inside store. The design process was an exercise of thinking how the mall would be in 100 years from now, possibly becoming a abandoned itself. The idea of a ruin built on the present.

HER Shop / CLAP Studio

June 17, 2019 Andreas Luco 0

HER is the desire of stylist Hilary Tsui to create a retail space dedicated to contemporary women. Her goal was to unite her two passions in one place: fashion and gastronomy. That’s why HER, located in the centre of the Fashion Walk of bustling Hong Kong, combines the latest fashion with a coffee corner for resting while enjoying an original drink from the brand. After several workshops with Hilary Tsui, we extracted three key points that reflected the essence of HER: femininity, purity and strength. Starting from these three key points we imagine HER as a sinuous landscape, with imposing mountains and pure materials. We imagine HER as the planet Mars, a feminine and mysterious space to discover.

The building consists of a furniture store with a lunch bar on the street side, as well as an office building at the rear of the site. Both are visualized on the basis of two geometric figures that were partly pushed together. The result is a geometric interplay of 2 different volumes that characterize both store and office.
