New Visitor Center of Cluny Museum / Bernard Desmoulin Architecte

Located in the historical center of Paris, Cluny Museum is the museum of the Middle Ages and thermal baths and gathers fragments of a history of Architecture that begins in the first century AD. The last piece added to the composition dates from the 21st century. The old entrance of the museum was inadequate to the intended restructuration of the museographic spaces and to properly welcome all kind of public. This new visitor center, therefore, provides services and comfort naturally expected from such an important National Museum.

RÉVELER / Collective Camposaz

Camposaz is a wood self-construction workshop in 1:1 scale. The Collective is known for his collaborative and site-specific approach. Current workshops are open to architects, designers, carpenters between 18 and 35 years of age. Living in close contact for 10 days, they design and build wood installations, based on specific themes, aiming at enhancing the landscape.

Battersea Arts Centre / Haworth Tompkins

Architects Haworth Tompkins have completed a 12-year transformation of the Grade II* listed Battersea Arts Centre. Begun as an extended, improvisatory collaboration with artists, theatre producers and the local community, the entire former town hall building is now in use for creative and community activity, increasing the number of performance spaces from 4 to 35 and incorporating artists’ bedrooms, a new rooftop office and staff garden, a creative business hub, a community allotment and an outdoor theatre.

The House of Arts has opened to the public in Roskilde, Denmark. In 2016 Svendborg Architects together with landscape architects BOGL and engineering firms Regnestuen and Spangenberg & Madsen, won an invitational competition for the new masterplan of Kildegaarden, and thereby The House of the Arts.

Situated at the perimeter of the expanse of Hacettepe University’s Beytepe Campus in Ankara, Museum, and Center for Biodiversity building house scientific research facilities and exhibition spaces devoted to scientific materials on the topic of biodiversity. Beytepe Campus is on the main development axis in Ankara, the westward highway to Eskişehir, which creates severe pressure of urbanization and land fragmentation.

Charterhouse Science & Mathematics Centre / Design Engine Architects

Design Engine originally won the commission to design the new state-of-the-art science and mathematics facilities after an invited competition in 2009, beating a strong field including Hopkins, Belsize Architects, Panter Hudspith and Pringle Richards Sharratt. Founded in 1611, Charterhouse is one of the great historic public schools of England. With four centuries of history behind it, the School is committed to being at the forefront of educational progress in the twenty‑first century. The School’s aim was to revolutionize the way Science and Mathematics subjects are taught at Charterhouse by fostering inter- and intra-departmental collaboration, providing a world-class learning environment for current and future generations of pupils.
