The website of East Beach Cafe has some new snowy pictures of the nearly complete beach-front structure designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Dutch school architecture awards announced

Van Egeraat school opens

Metzo College, a school designed by Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects, has opened in the Netherlands. The school, at Doetinchem in the east of the country, resembles a ziggurat with a scooped-out core containing gardens. Zaha Hadid in Abu Dhabi update

Zaha Hadid’s office have sent us two more images of her Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Centre, plus a statement describing the project. The top image shows a perspective looking towards the building from the sea, while the image above shows the main lobby.
