The pavilion design is a befitting expression of the values, ethos, and practice of Pan-African heritage and culture, tenets Bra Hugh advocated for throughout his life. The design is inspired by African burial ritual and practices wherein, dignified structures are created to host family and visitors who periodically gathering to reflect and commune with the departed.

Located in the center of BacNinh city, the house can accommodate an extended family of 4 generations. Its design is inspired by light and space effects, which resembles the “cave” style in a humid subtropical climate to bring about positive and vivid experiences to users’ senses: low (at the entrance), wide and high (inside), narrow (nooks and crannies), open outwardly (door system); even light distribution (outside), gradual darkening (inward), streams of light (from above), alternating vegetation, etc.

Fuelle Roga House / OMCM arquitectos

This small project is located in a residential neighbourhood in Asunción of low density and relative tranquillity, where the owner commissioned us to renovate an old house of almost vernacular characteristics and in quite deteriorated conditions, for profitable purposes. Therefore, our efforts were focused on developing a discreet project that would find a way to recycle the house, allowing it some flexibility in the spaces while fitting into a somewhat tight budget. The initial situation presented us with an unfunctional fragmented typology of clogged and annexed spaces, a lack of ventilation and natural lighting, walls without foundations and with noticeable humidity, considerable structural fissures and other anecdotal surprises, such as the presence of a cesspit in one of the rooms.

Alquería House is a modern village cabin located in L’Horta Nord in Valencia region, built attempting to re-interpret traditional rules of a known native typology (patio, pool, and house), giving them a more suitable meaning for this century. The building has an “L” shape, with two different floors and heights that surround the central piece of the complex: the patio. This main area, the heart of the house, organizes and develops the day and night zones around it, providing them with light and privacy.

The Casa de Árvore Tree‘s House renovation project evolved from a small abandoned house, built in the 80s for a tenant, and its annexed shed. During the marginalized years of the house, its white walls served as canvases for the paintings of the owner´s daughter, then a young girl who later became an Arts School student. The design concept was to transform the existing house into a cozy weekend retreat for the woman who used to roam those walls and is now married with two children.

A house anchored in the cliff.
This newly built house facing the sea opens itself up to the sun during the day and closes for intimacy during the evening. It is located in a village along the Alabaster Coast (Côte d’Albâtre). It is one of several villages on this coast dense with flint, brick, and sandstone; both old and homogenous. Wartime destruction disrupted the homogeneity of the homes closest to the sea, but this home again reaches for coastal uniformity.

One of the main characteristics of the architectural solution of the building named SkyLine in which the apartment is located – Rounded floor plan and exterior walls. It was a test for our team to create no ordinary space in such an unusual flor plan. This apartment designed for the businesswoman who exactly knows what she wants from her own home – functionality and little cute things.
