Wood has been used to construct the swooping form of this indoor swimming pool, created by Dutch studio VenhoevenCS and French studio Ateliers 2/3/4 for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Local spruce wood is used throughout Markolfhalle Markelfingen, a multipurpose hall that architecture studio Steimle Architekten has added to the edge of a lake in Germany.
