Malt whiskey distillery is the new factory, new office, and visitor center for a company named Thai Bev, the Thai food and beverage company. The project is located to the north of Thailand capital close to Kamphaeng Phet historical park, one of a UNESCO world heritage site.
This is a factory of Fujiiya, a long-established maker of the famous momiji manju (maple leaf-shaped Japanese confections) of Hiroshima. We were consulted for the overall plan after designing their store in Miyajima. The site is in an industrial area developed on a reclaimed land—an artificial environment that lacked human scale. The location was dull and could be considered a calamity of the land-use zoning system. We thus proposed a place that would function not just as a factory, but to integrate production with research and processing with consumption. We felt that the concept would tie into the spirit of the confection making, which valued nature and the lifestyles of people while maintaining a close relationship with the community.
Laemthong Corporation is a well-established Thai livestock and related food industry company, which was founded to produce jute rice bags and nowadays focuses on animal feed, livestock, food products and packaging. To enhance the working environment for their personnel, PHTAA was asked to renovate their LCG factory at Phutthamonthon sai 5, Nakorn Pathom.
For some time, under the guidance of the traditional economic growth model, new industrial cities have sprung up all over the country. These industrial parks follow almost the same underlying logic – spatial layout and architectural construction around the requirements of production organizations at the lowest cost and the highest efficiency, and the large-scale “barracks” layout and “matchbox” space become the most effective response mode.

The Gaoling Ancient Mine Ruins in Fuliang is also a holy place for international ceramics culture. Located in Fuliang’s Qiancheng Village, BingDing Wood kiln is less than an hour’s drive from the urban area of Jingdezhen. The site is surrounded by mountains and bamboo forests in a tranquil environment.

Greyder Shoe Factory is located at Corum-Ankara Highway. The gross construction area is 7050m². On the ground floor, there are public spaces like store and cafe where users can stop by and spend some time.
