designed by diller scofidio + renfro in collaboration with rockwell group, ‘fifteen hudson yards’ is a residential tower currently under construction in new york. the building, which topped out earlier this year, forms part of hudson yards — the 28-acre redevelopment program transforming manhattan’s west side — and will neighbor ‘the shed’, the site’s much-anticipated cultural center.

hudson yards and its development team — related companies and oxford properties group — have now unveiled plans for the highest outdoor residential space in new york city. the roof deck is elevated 900 feet (274 meters) above ground level, and offers encompassing views of both the hudson river and manhattan skyline.

a 60-foot-tall (18m) glass screen wall envelopes the open-air terrace with custom-made wooden planters providing a place to relax under white oak trees. the terrace is part of the tower’s newly unveiled suite of amenities, dubbed ‘skytop’. the terrace is flanked by two indoor event spaces: a lounge and a private dining room. the lounge includes intimate seating, while the dining room boasts a catering kitchen and bar and a dining table that seats up to 18 guests. take a closer look at the building with a series of VR tours here.

fifteen hudson yards, designed by diller scofidio + renfro and rockwell group, offers a wide range of lifestyle amenities. the entire 50th and 51st floors are devoted to wellness, entertaining, and leisure with facilities including: an aquatics center with a 75-foot-long swimming pool, whirlpool, private spa with treatment rooms, a beauty bar, fitness center, a children’s imagination center, screening room, golf club lounge, wine storage and tasting room, business center with dual conference rooms, and a collaborative work space. remaining residences are priced from $3.9 million for a 2-bedroom to $32 million for the tower’s duplex penthouse.
