Johann Jacobs House / Felgendreher Olfs Köchling Architekten

June 1, 2021 Pilar Caballero 0

The new Johann Jacobs House enjoys an inevitable presence in the cityscape. Its position in the urban layout grants it a triple view of its surroundings: the volume is set back on all three sides towards the upper part, in relation to the different eaves of the neighboring historical buildings. Its urban specificity and autonomy are attributed to its plasticity and façade rhythm, subtly mimicking typical Hanseatic architectural elements such as the stepped gable wall.

House 430/3 / NP Workshop

June 1, 2021 Hana Abdel 0

House 430/3 is located in the village of Moira in north Goa. Built between 2015 and 2019, the residence was designed by Nikhil Padgaonkar for himself, his wife and their young son. Situated at one end of a hill, with a panoramic view of the 380-year-old Church of Moira and fields beyond, the sloping site offered the possibility of developing several terraces on which to site various components of the program: the main house -a cuboid structure- sits at the highest level, while the lap pool, offices and garage have been assigned to the second level.
